Brief
Sandown Park Racecourse needed to increase their web presence and fulfil the requirements of various online audiences. They wanted a site that was simple to update, and easy to locate via major search engines. At the same time they needed to increase their fan base through Social Media activities.
Solution
Following detailed consultation with the client's business units - Racing, Hospitality, Sponsorship and so forth - Purple developed a bespoke Content Management Solution. As well as being easy to manage, the solution identifies core search engine marketing activities to improve natural and paid listings. A Social Media strategy, precisely tailored for Sandown Park's clientele, was also implemented.
Result
The new website successfully promotes key events and activities throughout the year, increasing income from ticket sales and other activities. The site is easily locatable on major search engines and visitor figures are on the rise. The Social Social Media strategy, including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Youtube has also helped Sandown Park to spread the word.
